We’re looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to partner with our Chief Operating Officer, supporting the largest and most complex portfolio at Scope. This is a high‑impact opportunity for a confident, resilient professional who thrives close to decision making and brings calm, clarity and sharp judgement to fast‑moving environments.
The Opportunity
Working alongside the COO and their leadership team you’ll be a trusted partner at the centre of operations, delivering frontline services to Scope’s clients . You’ll proactively prioritise and solve problems before they surface and keep critical work moving. The COO portfolio supports clients receiving services in accommodation, therapy and social connections programs, along with funding, placement and workforce management. This includes a workforce of back of house staff and frontline staff.
You’ll be exposed to highly confidential and at times difficult conversations, so discretion, resilience and emotional intelligence are essential. You’ll also need to understand scale, how executive decisions translate into real outcomes across large operational teams and frontline services that are geographically dispersed. .
You’ll join a strong Executive Assistant Community of Practice, helping to lift standards and continuously improve how executive support is delivered across Scope.
What You’ll Do
- Own complex diary, workflow and priority management for the COO
- Coordinate high‑level meetings, forums and events including agendas and minutes
- Draft clear, professional and sensitive executive communications
- Partner with senior leaders to deliver operational outcomes
- Anticipate risks, spot opportunities and help solve complex problems
- Navigate constant change with confidence, judgement and agility
- Build trusted relationships across a large, geographically dispersed organisation
- Represent the COO, ELT and Scope with professionalism and discretion
- Drive continuous improvement in executive support practices
- Collaborate with and support other Executive Assistants
- Role model resilience, accountability and a proactive mindset
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience supporting C‑suite leaders in complex organisations
- Exceptional organisation, diary management and attention to detail
- The confidence and maturity to handle sensitive, confidential matters
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate at scale and understand operational complexity
- High integrity, sound judgement and commitment to confidentiality
- Experience in disability services and/or the health sector more broadly is valued, but not essential
