About Your Role
Scope has an exciting and unique opportunity for an Authorised Program Officer (APO) to work within our Quality, Safeguarding & Practice Division.
The APO contributes to embedding client quality and safeguarding across Scope to empower our clients to belong and thrive.
Your Key Focus
Assess the necessity and appropriateness of restrictive practice
Ensure legal, ethical and quality compliance
Working collaboratively with clients, their support networks and stakeholders to support delivery of safe, quality and empowering services
Advocate for the rights, needs and expectations of people with disability
Understanding of human rights, the administration of restrictive practices, positive behaviour support and person-centred active support
Certification or training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and restrictive practice compliance
Knowledge of the NDIS Portal and registration requirements for disability organisation, or the ability to quickly acquire
Ability to train others in systems, policies and/ or practices to deliver and improve client services
Ability to understand and apply legislation, regulations, policies and/ or practices relevant to restrictive practice and positive behaviour support
