A message from the people your work helps support

The work you do behind the scenes helps people belong, thrive and be at their best.

Hello future Executive Assistant to the Chief People Officer,

We're two groups of people whose experience at Scope will be shaped by the work you do.

We are Scope employees.

And we are the people with disability who rely on the support they provide every day.

At first glance, this role might look like diary management, meeting coordination and administration.

But it's much more than that.

Because when our people leaders are organised, informed and supported to focus on what matters most, our employees can do their best work. And when our employees are supported to succeed, better outcomes reach the people we support.

For employees, that means better systems, clearer communication, stronger capability development and a great workplace experience.

For clients, it means having skilled, engaged employees who can focus on helping them live the life they choose.

That's where you come in.

Why your role matters

At Scope, our Chief People Officer leads the teams responsible for attracting, developing and supporting the people who make our mission possible.

Behind that leadership is someone who creates order from complexity, keeps priorities moving, ensures nothing important falls through the cracks and helps an entire leadership team operate effectively.

You'll be a trusted partner to the Chief People Officer and a key connector across the People function and broader organisation.

You'll also lead our Hawthorn reception team, helping ensure employees, clients and visitors experience a welcoming, organised and professional environment every time they engage with Scope.

When you do your job well, leaders have the information they need, decisions move forward, communication is clear and the right conversations happen at the right time.

The impact of your work extends far beyond administration. It helps create the conditions for great leadership, strong employee experiences and ultimately better outcomes for people with disability.

About the role

As the Executive Assistant to the Chief People Officer & Reception Team Leader, you will help create the conditions for an effective, connected and high-performing People function by:

  • Providing proactive executive support to the Chief People Officer and People Senior Leadership Team
  • Coordinating meetings, reports, communications and key people initiatives
  • Managing projects, actions, priorities and governance processes within the People function
  • Building trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Leading and developing our Hawthorn reception team
  • Supporting the smooth operation of the Hawthorn office and employee workplace experience
  • Identifying opportunities to improve ways of working, systems and administrative processes

You'll be someone who can anticipate what's needed before being asked, manage competing priorities with confidence and build strong relationships across a complex organisation.

You'll combine exceptional organisational skills with sound judgement, discretion and a genuine desire to help others succeed.

Why Scope?

At Scope, you'll be part of an organisation that:

  • Puts people first

  • Is committed to safety, quality and inclusion

Most importantly, you'll do work that has purpose.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Significant experience supporting senior or executive leaders
  • Expertise in complex diary, inbox and stakeholder management
  • Outstanding organisation, planning and coordination skills
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, communications and meeting papers
  • Strong written communication and the ability to draft correspondence on behalf of executives
  • Sound judgement, discretion and professionalism
  • The ability to remain calm and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading administrative or reception-based teams (highly regarded)
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Experience within disability, health, community services or similarly complex environments will be highly regarded.

Safeguarding matters

Keeping people safe is everyone's responsibility at Scope.

You will have, or successfully obtain, all relevant checks, including an NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and other role-specific clearances.
