About Scope

Looking for work with real purpose?

Scope’s purpose is to create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to belong and thrive.

As the national industry leader, we support people with physical, intellectual and multiple disabilities to achieve their goals. Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living, therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.

We are currently undertaking a significant transformation program across our organisation and this includes an uplift across our technologies and software.

You are encouraged to apply if you possess a sound, hands-on technical background in application testing, release management and automation. You will likely get the opportunity to contribute to the automation strategy.

About Your Role

Reporting to the Test & Release Lead, the Test Analyst supports the quality, reliability and controlled release of Scope’s core business applications. The role plans, designs and executes testing for application upgrades, releases, projects, integrations and other system changes; coordinates business testing; manages defects and test evidence; and provides clear quality and release-readiness information to stakeholders. Working with business teams, ICT colleagues and vendors, the Test Analyst helps minimise operational disruption and supports safe, effective outcomes for frontline teams and the people Scope supports.

Your Key Focus

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Scope’s core business applications, business processes, integrations and release cycles to support effective risk-based testing.
  • Analyse upgrade, release and change scope to identify test impacts, dependencies, risks, environments, data requirements and appropriate test coverage.
  • Prepare and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, traceability, test data and expected results for application upgrades, releases, projects and system changes.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end and other appropriate testing, recording clear and reproducible evidence of outcomes.
  • Coordinate and support business stakeholders and subject matter experts through user acceptance testing, including test preparation, execution guidance, progress monitoring and issue follow-up.

Your Technical Capabilities

  • Software testing practices across functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, user acceptance and post-release verification testing.
  • Test analysis and design, including requirements review, risk assessment, coverage definition, traceability, test data and expected results.
  • Defect management capability, including clear reproduction steps, evidence capture, impact assessment, prioritisation, retesting and closure.
  • Release assurance skills, including test entry and exit criteria, readiness reporting, deployment validation and post-release stabilisation.
  • Understanding of enterprise application integrations and data flows, including API, middleware and file-based interfaces.
  • Exposure to test automation tools and reusable regression testing approaches is desirable.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other client, workforce, payroll, HR or finance applications is desirable.
