Disability Support Worker – Carnegie [Social Connections (Day Program)]

Position Details
- Position: Disability Support Worker
- Employment type: Permanent Part-Time
- Total Hours per fortnight: 25 hours
- Available to work Monday to Friday, during the hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm
About You
- Experience supporting customers with complex health needs, including PEG feeding and diabetes management, will be highly regarded

Ability to actively support and engage clients in swimming, hydrotherapy, and other water-based activities
- Supporting adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities who attend our Scope day program
- Engaging clients in individualised and group programs, hobbies, and interests
- Activities may include walks and exercise programs, music, art and crafts, sports, games, or following the client's lead
- Providing personal care respectfully, when and where required
- Building capacity to maintain and enhance clients' independence and community participation
- Promoting choice and control using person-centred, active support practices
- Following behavioural support plans and NDIS care plans
- Being a positive role model with an engaging and enthusiastic approach
