Community Inclusion Worker – Social Connections (Day Program)

We have an exciting seasonal opportunity for our sports-focused, active, and motivating Disability Support Workers to take on the role of Community Inclusion Worker across our Melbourne Balloon Football and Inclusive Hockey programs based across Keilor and Parkville

Reporting to the Community Inclusion Project Lead, this role is all about bringing Scope’s Community Inclusion programs to life. You’ll facilitate fun, safe, and engaging weekly Balloon Football and Inclusive Hockey games for people with disability, build strong relationships with clients, families, volunteers, and school students, and ensure each session runs smoothly with equipment ready to go. In addition to leading the seasonal weekly games, you may support Community Inclusion events and expos, help promote programs locally, and strengthen connections with community groups. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves being active, connecting with people, and creating meaningful, inclusive experiences.

Program Details

  • One day per week, 3-hour shifts 
  • Paid at your current hourly rate
  • This is seasonal work in addition to your current roster.
  • Inclusive Hockey Northwest (Parkville): February 11, 18, 25; March 4, 11, 18
  • Balloon Football Northwest (Keilor): April 28; May 5, 12, 19, 26; June 2, 9, 16, 23; July 14, 21, 28; August 4, 11, 18, 25; September 1, 8, 15 (no programs run during school holidays)

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience supporting people with disability and facilitating group programs, ideally including all-ability or modified sports
  • A friendly, engaging approach with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across diverse groups
  • Confidence to work independently and collaboratively while staying organised, adaptable, and solution-focused
  • Physical capability to deliver active programs and comfort travelling to community venues as required
  • Professionalism, respect, and a genuine commitment to inclusion, collaboration, and creating positive experiences for everyone involved
  • Proficiency in using all Microsoft applications.

Role Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid and CPR
  • VIC Driver’s licence
  • International Police Check for oversees periods longer than 12 months
  • Availability to work all dates listed above
