Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living, short term accommodation (respite), social connections, lifestyle options, therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.

About Your Role

Scope has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Community Inclusion (CI) Worker to work within our Social Connections division.

This is a casual, seasonal role supporting the delivery of inclusive sports-based programs across community locations. Programs may include activities such as modified football and inclusive hockey delivered across different terms throughout the year.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating inclusive sporting and recreational programs for people with disability, with a focus on participation and enjoyment 
  • Supporting the delivery of seasonal programs across multiple locations, including structured weekly sessions
  • Assisting with setup and pack down of equipment and program areas to ensure safe delivery
  • Officiating or supervising games and activities as required
  • Completing program-related administration and reporting tasks
  • Building positive relationships with participants, families, volunteers and community partners
  • Promoting programs within the local community to support engagement and participation 
  • Working closely with the Community Inclusion team to ensure programs run smoothly and safely

This role typically involves weekly program delivery across a large portion of the year, with sessions running for set program periods and potential for additional hours depending on program demand.

Your Key Focus

To be successful in this role, you will bring energy, reliability and a genuine interest in inclusive sport and community participation.

You will demonstrate:

  • A passion for creating inclusive environments through sport and recreation
  • Confidence facilitating group activities and engaging participants of varying abilities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and adapting during program delivery
  • Physical capability to support program setup, pack down and active participation
  • A commitment to respectful, inclusive and participant-centred practices

What We Look For

  • Experience delivering or supporting group recreational or sporting programs
  • Experience working with people with disability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage program tasks
  • Ability to travel to community-based program locations
  • Confidence working in active, hands-on environments
  • Interest in inclusive or modified sports programs (desirable)
