About The Role
Scope is committed to improving the lives of people we support by ensuring they are involved in the design, delivery and improvement of Scope's services. Equally, we want to ensure our customers have the skills and confidence to advocate for themselves and others.
Exciting opportunities exist for experienced or confident facilitators to lead Customer Reference Groups at Scope. Based in either the East Division (Glen Waverley) or South Division (Aspendale or Pakenham), these roles would be suitable for anyone who identifies as, or has lived experience with disability. Opportunities to work remotely are negotiable and those who use alternative or augmented communication methods are also encouraged to apply. Key responsibilities include:
- Chair Customer Reference Group (CRG) meetings, with a specific focus on supporting the participation of members with a diverse range of communication systems and styles
- Assist in establishing/developing mechanisms (formal and informal) for the CRG to engage with Scope customers and seek feedback, advice and input on a range of matters related to Scope's services
We are looking for someone with energy, integrity and passion who identifies as, or has lived experience with disability. You will possess:
- Experience in leading teams, and/or group facilitation, with the ability to respond appropriately to group dynamics
- The ability to interpret information from diverse sources
- A well-developed understanding of Scope and the sector in which Scope operates, including the ongoing roll-out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme
